Crypto CFDs
Digital asset prices, no wallet or custody
Crypto CFDs give exposure to the price of a digital asset without a wallet, an exchange account or on-chain transfers. You hold a contract, not the coin.
Why trade Crypto CFDs with DXM
Price exposure only
Your result is the price difference on the contract, not delivery of an asset.
Long or short
Open in either direction; losses grow if the market moves against you.
Margin and leverage
Margin is a deposit against exposure, not a cap on it, and applies per instrument.
Conditions where they are binding
Instrument list, sizes, spreads and hours come from your account terms and the platform.
What is it?
A crypto CFD follows the price of a digital asset against a currency. There is no wallet, no exchange account, no private key and no custody of coins — you hold a contract, and the result is settled in cash.
Digital asset prices can move very sharply, in both directions, and liquidity can change quickly. Leverage makes that behaviour more consequential, not less.

How it works
Pick the instrument
Each crypto instrument has its own contract size, margin requirement and trading hours.
Size for volatility
Because moves can be large, position size drives risk far more than entry timing does.
Manage the position
Protective orders help, but in a fast market a fill can be worse than the requested level.
Key concepts
CFD, not custody
You never hold the asset, so there is no transfer, no withdrawal on-chain and no wallet security to manage — and no ownership either.
Volatility and gaps
Large, rapid moves are normal. Prices can gap, and stops can fill well away from their level.
Availability
Which crypto instruments you can trade, and when, depends on your account and the session defined for that instrument in the platform.
Risk warning
CFDs are leveraged instruments. Margin is a deposit, not a limit on your exposure, so losses can exceed your initial margin and in fast markets your position can close at a worse price than expected. Spreads, financing and other costs reduce your result. Prices can gap over weekends, holidays and news events, and a stop order is an instruction to close — not a guarantee of the price it fills at.

An application does not open an account. It is reviewed by our onboarding team first, and access is granted only if it is approved.
