Stock CFDs
Share price exposure, without owning the share
A stock CFD tracks the price of a listed share. You do not become a shareholder, you have no voting rights, and any corporate action is handled only as described in your contract terms.
Why trade Stock CFDs with DXM

Price exposure only
Your result is the price difference on the contract, not delivery of an asset.
Long or short
Open in either direction; losses grow if the market moves against you.
Margin and leverage
Margin is a deposit against exposure, not a cap on it, and applies per instrument.
Conditions where they are binding
Instrument list, sizes, spreads and hours come from your account terms and the platform.
What is it?
Buying a share makes you part-owner of a company: you appear on the share register and you may receive shareholder rights such as voting and dividends, under the company's rules.
A stock CFD is different. It tracks the share price without any ownership, so there is no voting right and no automatic shareholder entitlement. Any adjustment for a corporate action happens only as described in your contract terms.

How it works
Choose the share and direction
You can position for a rise or a fall in the share price without borrowing or owning stock.
Set the size
Each stock CFD has a defined contract size. Sizing is limited by that definition and by the minimum your account allows.
Post margin
Single shares can move sharply on company news, and margin requirements reflect that. Margin is a deposit, not a loss limit.
Watch events and close
Results announcements and corporate actions can move the price outside trading hours, so positions can reopen at a very different level.
Key concepts
Ownership versus exposure
A share is an asset you own. A stock CFD is a contract on its price, with no register entry, no voting and no shareholder status.
Long and short
Both directions are available, and both can lose more than the margin deposited.
Contract size
Sizing follows the contract definition for that instrument. Fractional sizing should never be assumed — check what the platform allows.
Margin and leverage
Leverage on single shares amplifies company-specific risk, which can be much larger than index-level risk.
Spread and costs
The buy/sell difference is paid at entry, and holding costs may apply. Both are set in your account terms.
Sessions, earnings and gaps
Shares trade in the hours of their listing venue. Results published outside those hours commonly produce an opening gap.
Corporate actions and dividend adjustments
Splits, consolidations and dividend events may lead to an adjustment on the contract, but only where and how the contract terms provide for it. Nothing is automatic and nothing is guaranteed.
Risk warning
CFDs are leveraged instruments. Margin is a deposit, not a limit on your exposure, so losses can exceed your initial margin and in fast markets your position can close at a worse price than expected. Spreads, financing and other costs reduce your result. Prices can gap over weekends, holidays and news events, and a stop order is an instruction to close — not a guarantee of the price it fills at.
